We all make mistakes, honest ones, most of them.
However, when was the last time that you took a decision while you knew it was not the right one?
That time you were in a rush and decided to be sloppy instead of doing that extra bit of effort?
It can be as simple as cooking your meal a bit too hot to «save» a couple minute while charring it.
Or it can mean shipping shoddy code at the onset of your startup and ending up with massive technical debt a few months/years down the line, right when you need things to go smoothly.
We all have a that tendency toward it, and it seems so natural.
So what can we do to fix it?
Maybe go to the most pragmatic people on earth, and ask for their advice.
And remember that the best way to avoid decision fatigue is simply to avoid the most unnecessary decisions.
Discipline beats motivation. Keep your strength for the acts that deserve it.

“It is not because the truth is too difficult to see that we make mistakes. It may even lie on the surface; but we make mistakes because the easiest and most comfortable course for us is to seek insight where it accords with our emotions — especially selfish ones.”
